In a vibrant display of faith ahead of Uganda Martyrs Day (June 3), Christians from Bubaare Parish took to the streets of Ibanda town for a series of prayer processions. The community walks were held to pray for the town’s prosperity and to spiritually retrace the footsteps of the Uganda martyrs.

Leading the prayers, Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bashobora delivered a message focused on spiritual growth, financial discipline, and personal well-being. He shared three key messages with the community:

Fr. Bashobora encouraged both Christians and the business community to prioritize rest, noting that taking time to pause is essential for both physical health and spiritual rejuvenation.

He issued a strong challenge to the youth and the wider community to avoid wasting resources on destructive behaviors like excessive alcohol consumption and fornication, which can ruin lives.

Urging the community to work diligently, Fr. Bashobora advised Christians to build multiple sources of income while strictly avoiding corruption, which is spiritually condemned.
