Uganda Airlines has announced a temporary disruption to some of its long-haul flights after two of its aircraft were taken out of service due to unscheduled maintenance.
In a travel update issued on February 20, 2026, the national carrier said the development may cause inconvenience to passengers, but stressed that safety remains its top priority.
The airline said its Customer Experience and Operations teams are already working to re-accommodate affected travellers.
According to the airline, passengers booked on affected flights will either be rebooked on partner airlines or have their schedules adjusted to ensure minimal disruption.
It added that some flights may be consolidated or delayed to manage operational capacity.
Uganda Airlines also assured passengers of flexibility in adjusting their travel plans without extra charges.
The airline said it is working around the clock to secure the required components and technical expertise to return the aircraft to service.
