Kitagwenda Town Council LC3 Chairperson Patrick Turyamureeba Payi urged political leaders and civil servants in Kitagwenda District to work together like a chain to improve service delivery. Speaking after his swearing-in ceremony at the Kitagwenda Town Council offices in Kicwamba, he emphasized that this collaborative chain must connect from Members of Parliament down to LC1 leaders.

Service Delivery and Accountability

  • The Political Chain: Turyamureeba highlighted that effective governance requires seamless collaboration between all tiers of leadership, starting from MPs and moving down to LC5, LC3, LC2, and LC1 leaders.
  • Technical Commitment: He directed the technical team, led by the Town Clerk, to ensure that all government services, resources, and entitlements reach the residents of Kitagwenda without delay.

Executive Appointments
During the same council sitting, Turyamureeba presented his nominees for the town council executive committee. The council successfully approved the nominations, with Santrinah Musimenta officially retaining her position as vice chairperson.

The inauguration also saw Jonan Aheirwe and Hanifah Tumusiime elected unopposed as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, with leaders pledging to prioritize accountability, harmony, and improved service delivery.
