The Opposition in Parliament has unveiled its new shadow government, retaining several key figures from the previous line up. The list was released today afternoon, with National Unity Platform (NUP) MPs securing prominent positions.
Joel Ssenyonyi has been maintained as Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, while Paul Mwiru was named Opposition Chief Whip. John Nambeshe also retained his position as a parliamentary commissioner. According to the list, Patrick Nsamba will head the Public Accounts Committee as its chairperson, giving the Opposition control over one of Parliament’s most influential accountability committees.
