The Kitagwenda County Member of Parliament, Hon. Robert Mugabe, has urged leaders to exercise patience and serve with humility, emphasizing that true leadership is achieved through commitment and waiting for the right time to serve.
Hon. Mugabe made the remarks on Sunday while addressing hundreds of Christians who gathered for the Thanksgiving Mass of Rev. Fr. Ronald TukahirwaatKayanga Catholic Church.
He told the congregation that leadership is a journey that requires patience, noting that those entrusted with public service should lead with humility and dedication when their opportunity comes.
As part of his support for the celebration, Hon. Mugabe contributed UGX 2 million towards the Thanksgiving ceremony.
Speaking at the same function, Hon. Efrance Kenyonyozi, the Kitagwenda District LCV Chairperson, pledged to continue working closely with fellow leaders to promote development in the district. He also encouraged residents to protect the environment by planting indigenous trees to preserve the area’s natural heritage.
Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Godfrey Amanyire Adyeri, the Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Parish Kitagwenda, announced that the parish had purchased a new Subaru Forester as a gift for the newly ordained priest, Rev. Fr. Ronald Tukahirwa, in recognition of his ministry.
Church leaders and Christians expressed gratitude to Hon. Mugabe and other leaders for their generous support and participation in the celebration.
The Thanksgiving Mass attracted political leaders, clergy, and hundreds of Christians from Kayanga and neighboring communities, making it a significant occasion of faith, thanksgiving, and community unity.
