Kitagwenda district leaders have vowed to bear good fruits after taking offices soon.
Speaking a thanksgiving function for Bishop Robert Mwesigye at Kabujogera rural evangilical church in Kabujogera town council Efrance Kenyonyozi Atwongyere the chairperson LCV elect Kitagwenda pledged to work with other district leaders to fight corruption and to promote the development agenda in the district.
she noted with concern that the public had lost hope in Kitagwenda district previous leadership due to too much corruption especially in job applicants, political envies which will her starting point to restore public trust.
Officiating at the function, Hon. Robert Mugabe, the Kitagwenda county MP elect who pledged to work together with other leaders, asked people to avoid fighting political battles but instead unit for development.
he added that as new leaders they will have a united force that will give them strength to lobby for services in government services.
he cited an example where him and hon Kenyonyozi have started lobbying for services such as extension of power and in education before even taking over offices officially in May 2026.
Pastor Benon Tumwine of Holy Spirit Fire Church-Mbarara while preaching during a thanksgiving urged residents of Kitagwenda district to support their leaders instead of criticizing if they want to develop.
