Hon. Frank Tumwebaze is set to host a thanksgiving service on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Biguli Catholic Church in Biguli Town Council, Kamwenge District, as he gives thanks to God for his life, work, and the support he has received from the people of Kamwenge.

The thanksgiving service will be held under the theme “I am Thankful.” The event is expected to bring together Christians, community members, church leaders, youth groups, women’s groups, and other residents from Biguli and the wider Kamwenge area.

Organizers say the gathering is intended to be a day of prayer, praise, worship, and gratitude. They emphasize that the occasion is purely dedicated to thanksgiving and will not be a political event.

The thanksgiving is expected to begin in the morning at Biguli Catholic Church, with members of the community invited to participate under the slogan “LET’S BE THERE.” The organizers are calling upon residents to turn up and join in celebrating what they describe as God’s faithfulness and blessings.

The thanksgiving comes as an opportunity for Hon. Tumwebaze to express appreciation for his personal journey, his work, and the support and goodwill he has received from the people of Kamwenge. The gathering is also expected to provide an opportunity for residents to come together in prayer and fellowship.

Church leaders are expected to guide the congregation through prayers and thanksgiving, while different groups within the community, including youth and women’s groups, are anticipated to participate in the day’s activities.
