The Kamwenge District Executive Committee has paid tribute to the King of Tooro, His Majesty Dr. Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, describing him as a pillar of unity and socio-economic transformation.
The committee, chaired by District Executive leader Joseph Karungi Omugabuzi, made the remarks during an executive meeting held today.
The committee resolved to document and highlight the King’s contribution to the development of Kamwenge District, particularly in education, health, culture, tourism and environmental protection.
The district will also send a delegation to Karuziika Royal Palace in Fort Portal on Wednesday, September ninth, to convey its respect and solidarity to the King.
The delegation will include district officials and will be open to members of the wider Kamwenge community willing to join the visit.
