Green hill high school in Kamwenge district has become the first in Rwenzori region in the recently released UACE results.

UNEB On Friday last week released the 2025 UACE results indicating a slight improvement compared to 2024.

According to the regional rankings, Green hill high school Kamwenge is the first, followed by Fort Portal secondary, King Solomon’s college Kyatega in Kyegegwe the third and St. Thomas Aquinas College Kamwenge in Kamwenge district in the fourth position.

Devine Mercy SS Kiko in Kabarole is in the fifth position, St.Leo’s Kyegobe college the sixth, Kyebambe girls’ SS the seventh,St.Joseph’s hill SS Kyembogo  the 8th, Kyabenda SS in the 9th while Biguli SS in Kamwenge  is in the tenth position.

According to figures obtained by our reporter, Green hill high school Kamwenge one student scored 20 in BCM/ICT  two students 19 points in PEM and  BCM,2 18 with PEM while the majority have between 14 and 16 points.

14 students out of 61 were offering sciences, only were offering arts.

The school established in 2015, and started A level in 2022 has excelled in UACE since 2023. It also performs better at UCE.

In an exclusive interview with this publication, David Asiimwe Siita said the consistent excellent performance has been due to cooperation between parents, school management committees and students.

The school has also been named among the best with disciplined students which could be among the factors contributing to performance.

  • Subject Performance: The school has recorded performance in subjects such Biology, Physics, Mathematics ICT, History and Kiswahili in recent UACE results.
  • Regional Presence: As a school located in Kamwenge, it is gaining recognition for its contribution to academic results in Western Uganda.
  • Performance Trends: Data indicates a trend of student performance and progression in the UACE examination.
