School administrators across the country are urging Senior Four candidates to maintain discipline, remain calm and stay focused as they sit for their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations.

At Buryansungwe Secondary School in Kitagwenda District, the Head Teacher, Reverend Sister Margaret Independence, has cautioned candidates against engaging in activities that could disrupt their examinations and affect their academic performance.

Speaking to our reporter, Sister Margaret noted that disturbances during the examination period could create unnecessary anxiety among candidates, potentially undermining their concentration and ability to perform to their full potential.

She encouraged the learners to remain disciplined, avoid distractions and approach their examinations with confidence, emphasizing that a calm and peaceful environment is essential for effective preparation and good performance.

The head teacher’s remarks come as thousands of Senior Four candidates across the country undertake their final examinations, marking a crucial stage in their academic journey.

According to the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), the examination period commenced with a briefing on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The writing of examinations is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, and conclude on November 3, 2026.

As the examinations continue, candidates are being encouraged to adhere to examination regulations, manage their time effectively and remain focused on achieving good results.
