Buremba Secondary School has welcomed the third Bishop of North Ankole Diocese, Rt. Rev. Alfred Muhoozi, who presided over the confirmation of 48 Christians and dedication prayers for 99 Senior Four and 111 Senior Six candidates.
During his sermon, Bishop Muhoozi called on Christians to reaffirm their faith in Christ and urged church leaders to intensify preaching and evangelism.
He also encouraged parents to guide their children towards responsible and God-fearing lives, while urging Christians and students not to lose hope in their endeavors but to remain steadfast in their faith.
Bishop Muhoozi cautioned students against negative peer influence and called upon them to continue trusting in God as they pursue their studies and future ambitions.
Meanwhile, the Head Teacher of Buremba Senior Secondary School, Nuwagaba Wilson Kajuga, highlighted several challenges affecting the school.
These include some parents failing to meet their responsibilities, lack of a library, inadequate classrooms and dormitories, a shortage of government-paid staff, insufficient computers, and lack of a school vehicle to facilitate transportation.
The Chairperson of the Board of Governors, Rev. Canon Henry Timuganya, commended the head teacher for his stewardship of the school and thanked parents for entrusting their children to Buremba Secondary School.
