A new multi-purpose building is currently under construction at Green hill high school Kamwenge in Kamwenge district.
The new four storeyed building valued at 1.2 billion shillings, is being constructed to reduce congestion at the school following the increasing enrolment due to the school’s excellent performance in the district.
Green hill high school Kamwenge currently ranked number one both at the district and regional level, has received numerous students with parents having much trust that they will be shaped to perform better at O and A levels.
According to Asiimwe David Siita the director, once completed, the new multipurpose building will include 16 classrooms, main hall, library, computer laboratory, and administration offices adding that the source of funding is internal.
The multipurpose hall was recently commissioned during a mass to celebrate the 2025 UACE results held at the school.
Established in 2015, Green hill high school Kamwenge has outshined traditional schools in Kamwenge and Rwenzori region in performance both at ordinary and advanced levels.
