Patrick Turyamureba, the LC3 Chairman of Kitagwenda town council Kitagwenda district, prayed against the end of witchcraft saying that witchcraft activities were threatening Christians and political leaders.

During intense, unified Good Friday prayers held at Kicwamba Catholic Parish, Turyamureba urged the church and community leaders to join him in breaking the influence of witchdoctors and sorcerers.

He warned that the rising presence of witchcraft is creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity, directly threatening the safety and peace of Christians and disrupting the activities of political leaders in the district.

Turyamureba emphasized that these illegal activities are hindering development and creating mistrust within the community.

He called upon local authorities to tighten the grip on suspected witchdoctors, calling for a return to traditional family values and religious faith, rather than relying on superstition for personal gain or political leverage.

Robert Mugabe alias Omutembuzi the Kitagwenda county MP elect condemned political leaders who witch hunt fellow politicians, a factor that has lagged Kitagwenda district behind.

Rev. Dominic Tumusiime urged Christians to utilize the festive season to pray against the end of challenging situations affecting them.

Rev. Frank Nkamwebonera, the archdeacon Kicwamba archdeaconry who commended leaders for participating in the way of the cross, urged Christians to shun evil acts and accept Christ as their saviour.
