Green hill high school in the Rwenzori sub-region has caused a significant transformation, moving from traditional, resource-constrained learning toward child-friendly, skill-based, and environmentally conscious education.

 This transformation is driven by a mix of initiatives interventions focused on infrastructure, vocational training, and climate resilience. 

Key aspects of this transformation include:

  • Infrastructure and Child-Friendly School: Green high school like has helped transform local communities, , by providing, or, creating child-friendly learning environments, and installing safe, durable, and well-lit spaces, resulting in improved student performance and increased enrollment.
  • Vocational and Skills-Based Training: To reduce high youth unemployment, over 1,000 students have been trained in vocational skills.
  • These skills empower students to create their own employment opportunities and support local economic development.
  • Green and Climate Resilience: The school launched a School project to foster environmental stewardship in areas it serves.
  •  This project trains students and youth to act as agents for climate change adaptation and sustainable resource management.
