Kitagwenda County MP Robert Mugabe alias Omutembuzi has vowed to improve the district’s service delivery by utilizing strong lobbying skills.
He claimed the constituency lagged behind because his predecessors failed to actively lobby the central government for national resources.
His remarks came following the state of the nation address by president Museveni on Thursday 4th June 2026.
Citing failed lobbying capacities by his predecessor Nulu Joseph Byamukama, Mugabe noted that he will ensure he becomes active in legislating, lobbying and regular monitoring of government projects in the district.
As the National Resistance Movement (NRM) parliamentary flag bearer for Kitagwenda County, he pledged to improve regional service delivery—such as electricity, clean water, healthcare, and schools—and prioritize upgrading the Ibanda-Kabujogera-Rwenjaza-Rubirisi road.
He pledged to combat corruption, enhance transparency, and strengthen teamwork with technical staff to ensure residents see tangible improvements infrastructure.
