Over 30 million shillings has today been raised during the thanksgiving for Patrick Turyamureba alias Payi the LC3 chairperson Kitagwenda town council at Kiryanga church of Uganda parish-Kicwamba archdeaconry.
Addressing the congregation, the Bishop East Rwenzori diocese rt. rev. George K Turyasingura commended Patrick for his exceptional generosity to both community and the church.
The prelate has also warned clergy and lay people against deceptive, unverified cultic religious sects noting that that these groups exploit vulnerable individuals through false doctrines and manipulation, straying from foundational scriptures and established church traditions.
Hon.Dorothy Nyakato the women member of parliament Kitagwenda commended Patrick for his initiatives aimed at fostering development both in community and the church.
In his speech hon. Patrick Turyamureba who is a member of the synod, said he decided to hold thanks giving due to God’s mercy that raised his from humble back ground.
