Over 450 residents in Mahyoro Town Council, Kitagwenda District, received free medical services during a joint outreach by Maisha Meds and the local government. The camp provided critical treatments for malaria, diabetes, hypertension, and eye infections, ensuring vital healthcare access for vulnerable residents facing financial barriers.
The medical camp, which concluded on a Monday, successfully reached a significant portion of the underserved local population.
While organizers initially aimed to treat over 700 individuals, they successfully attended to more than 450 residents by the close of the event.
Patients received free consultations and treatments for several common and chronic health conditions in the region, including, Malaria High Blood Pressure, Diabetes and Eye Infections
Mahyoro Town Council Mayor Joshua Atumanya praised the collaborative effort that made the outreach possible.
He extended his appreciation to the medical professionals from Maisha Meds, Kitagwenda District authorities, and the local community for their active cooperation.
The initiative highlights the on-going efforts to improve healthcare accessibility for residents in rural areas.
