 Ladislas Tumukunde was sworn in as the LC3 chairperson of Nyabbani Sub County, Kitagwenda district, officially taking over his third term.

In his inaugural address, Tumukunde struck a reflective and firm tone, reminding leaders that their positions are not privileges but responsibilities entrusted to them by the people.

Before his speech, the elected parish councilors also took oath to officially start their roles. Former Speaker and elder’ Representative, George Byaruhanga, was elected unopposed with former deputy speaker Ahirirwe Amos. Yonah Kakama the male youth representative was appointed as the vice chairperson , Adam Mayanja secretary for works, Teddy Tuhaise the secretary for production and Hope Tumuhimbise as the secretary for finance.

In his address, George Byaruanga said he aims at promoting inclusive leadership, efficiency, and improved service delivery.

Robert Mugabe the Kitagwenda County MP pledged to lobby for the upgrading and renovation of the sub county headquarters in the next financial year.
