Christians have been urged to place their trust in Jesus Christ and remain steadfast in their faith if they are to receive God’s abundant blessings.
The message was delivered by the Bishop of Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, during a thanksgiving service held in honor of Rt. Rev. George K. Turyasingura at his home in Nyabubaare, Bigodi Town Council, Kamwenge District.
Preaching at the ceremony, Bishop Akanjuna encouraged believers to remain committed to God, faithful in their Christian walk, and welcoming to others, saying these virtues are essential for receiving God’s favor and blessings.
During the same event, the Bishop of Ankole Diocese, Rt. Rev. Associate Prof. Dr. Sheldon Mwesigwa, challenged church leaders to embrace unity and cooperation in order to strengthen their dioceses and effectively serve their congregations.
Speaking at the thanksgiving ceremony, Rt. Rev. George K. Turyasingura said the event was organized to express gratitude to God for His guidance, protection, and faithfulness throughout his eight-and-a-half years of episcopal service. He noted that the thanksgiving was an opportunity to reflect on God’s blessings and appreciate everyone who supported his ministry during his tenure.
The thanksgiving service attracted fellow bishops, clergy, family members, friends, and Christians from different parts of the country, who joined Bishop Turyasingura in celebrating God’s faithfulness and his years of dedicated service to the Church.
