The Kitagwenda District Education Department has commended Buryansungwe Primary School for its consistently outstanding academic performance, describing it as a key contributor to improving education standards across the district.
Speaking during the school’s parents’ general meeting held at the school grounds on Monday, Kitagwenda District Inspector of Schools Lauben Muhereza praised teachers, parents, and the School Management Committee for their collective commitment to academic excellence.
Muhereza said the school’s sustained success is a result of teamwork, discipline, and dedication from all stakeholders. He noted that Buryansungwe Primary School has consistently ranked first among government-aided primary schools in the district, a performance that has enhanced Kitagwenda’s overall education standards.
He urged other schools to emulate Buryansungwe’s commitment to quality teaching and effective school management in order to improve learning outcomes across the district.
The school head teacher, Leonard Atayebwa, attributed the school’s consistent performance to strategic measures implemented by the administration to strengthen teaching and learning.
He said the school has invested in close supervision of teachers, regular academic assessments, teamwork among staff, and strong collaboration with parents to ensure learners perform well.
Atayebwa thanked parents for supporting the school and encouraged them to continue working closely with teachers to maintain the school’s impressive academic record.
According to school records, Buryansungwe Primary School has maintained the top position among government-aided primary schools in Kitagwenda District for several consecutive years, making it one of the district’s leading performers in primary education.
