KITAGWENDA:
Newly elected Local council three chairpersons in Kitagwenda district Uganda are scheduled to be sworn in between May 19and May 21st, 2026. Outgoing leaders handed over office and government assets to Chief Administrative Officers or Town Clerks by May 12, 2026.
According to a time table released by the office of the chief administrative officer Kitagwenda district, the swearing will start with Buhanda Sub County on May 19th and conclude with Kitagwenda town council and Rwenjaza Sub County on May 21st 2026.
Speaking to our reporter in an interview Joshua the newly elected LC3 chairperson Mahyoro town council noted that after taking over office next month, he will specifically tackle school dropouts by targeting landing sites, where children are often lured away from education by immediate income opportunities.
Patrick Turyamureba alias Payi the LC3 chairperson Kitagwenda town council who doubles as the vice chairperson NRM Kitagwenda district, reaffirmed his commitment to fighting corruption and safeguarding public resources.
