Bimbika united FC from Mahyoro sub county unexpectedly secured an unassailable lead in the 5th Division league to be crowned champions.
They locked up the 5th Division, completing a surprising but dominant season ahead of Kyotamushana focused FC from Kitagwenda town council on finals played at Mahyoro play ground.
After winning the 5th division title Bimbika united FC secured promotion to the regional league.
Bosco Kato the manager Bimbika united FC told our reporter that they are now soliciting funds to help the club sail through the regional league. Kato believes they can win the regional league if they get enough resources.
He is now calling for sponsorship from willing individuals from Kitagwenda and beyond since the club rely on local support from fishermen and local leaders.
